Responsibilities:
Advise on a wide range of legal and commercial matters in the areas of video streaming service, artist management, web portal, content, media and IP licensing, and product compliance.
Draft, review, and negotiate complex content and content license agreements, services agreements, and other general commercial agreements relating to the company’s products/services.
Collaborate with external counsel and other Tencent attorneys based around the world, including in mainland China, Hong Kong, and Singapore, to provide compliance and regulatory analysis and advice for international business initiatives.
Identify potential legal issues and pitfalls and devise creative solutions for business teams to efficiently mitigate compliance risks.
Develop and continuously identify areas of improvement in our internal policies, case and knowledge management, training, and processes to ensure operational efficiency and implement practices for alignment with international regulatory standards.
Develop online training materials and conduct training sessions on compliance and regulatory topics for business stakeholders.
Draft and prepare minutes of the Board of Directors’ Meeting, Shareholders’ Meeting, and other meeting materials required by law such as waiver letter, proxy, and invitation notice.
Prepare corporate documents, and application forms and conduct corporate registrationswith the Department of Business Development (DBD), Revenue Department (RD), and related sectors.
Qualifications:
You have ten or more years of experience working in a law firm or in-house legal department, in the areas of technology, online platforms, content provider, media, entertainment or similar clients.
You have sound business judgment and the ability to deliver practical, commercially friendly, and comprehensive advice.
You are passionate about IP, content licensing, media, and entertainment area.
You are detail-oriented and have extensive experience with IP transactions, including content provider services, corporate law, advertisement regulatory, and licensing issues.
You have excellent communication skills and can establish strong working relationships with business stakeholders.
You have the ability to prioritize in a fast-moving environment and can work independently to manage day-to-day compliance work and handle the end-to-end transaction process from initial contract review through to negotiations and execution.
You have a good command of Thai and English (both written and oral) as a working language.
